Due to a continuing three year Luna Bar addiction, my actual lunch consumption at work takes about 10 mins of my allotted 45 minutes, which puts my in a dilemma, what to do with the extra time. Now that the sun is shinning and the streets are bright and busy, I decided to take a stroll around my new job grounds of the lower east side and snap some shots of the cool street art.
After Hours 2: Murals on the Bowery has lined Bowery with color and thoughts but since the murals are painted on the steel shutters of the commercial supply shops scattered between Houston and Grand, they can only be viewed when the shops are closed – mostly after 7pm and some on Sundays all day (when I took this pictures). 15 artists murals, including my favorite, Mel Bochner, can bee seen until Sept. 29th.
